Claude Vernard Furman was born on January 18, 1915 in Elmira Chemung County, New York. His father's name was Claude D. Furman.  He married Regina Furman.  He had two brothers, Max Strong and Stuart F. Furman. He died at the age of 41 in Buffalo, New York on July 24, 1956.
