The Group Air Exec, Major Ready, flew as observer in the lead aircraft as the 96th dispatched 23 planes.  The target was the Flensberger-Schifferbau marine ship building yards and sub-pens near the Danish border.  In spite of 4 aborts, the target was severely damaged.  E/A activity, restricted to between 20-25 fighters, harassed the Wing but, in general was ineffective.
